Taylor and Logan
I had a fantastic time photographing Taylor and Logan’s wedding. It was up in Stewartstown, PA at Pine Ridge Farm. The day started out very overcast and we weren’t sure if everything would have to be moved inside. Luckily, after a little bit of a drizzle, it dried up and everything went without a problem and we were able to have the wedding outside. After the ceremony, we took advantage of the spacious grounds to take formal photos.
Taylor and Logan also added a couple of firsts for me. They had a board set up at the ceremony site with three strands of rope representing Taylor, Logan and God, They wove the ropes together to form one stronger rope. It reminded me of why people say rain on your wedding day is good luck. When people say getting married is tying the knot, a wet knot is much harder to untie. The other first was that they wanted their first kiss to show their guests, so I moved in behind them for a wide shot of the first kiss with everyone in the shot.
Pine Ridge Farm offered beautiful views. Although we didn’t get much of a sunset, when there is a sunset available, this location is perfect for being able to capture it without obstruction. As nice as the view was outside, what I loved even more was the barn where cocktail hour and the reception were held. The wood of the barn offered very warm photos. The decorations really made an already beautiful location even better.
The rest of the evening went smoothly, with all of the normal reception events: the cake cutting, dances, toasts, etc. Logan and Taylor had an incredible time with their guests and danced forever. We went back out as the sun started getting low, for some more photos and then it was dancing for the rest of the night.
As the night came to a close, Taylor and Logan got ready to go. They had a great sparkler exit, got in their car and headed off into the night. Overall, it was a great day at a beautiful location with a very fun and easy to work with couple. I know that Taylor and Logan will have many years of happiness together and I wish them all the best.
