Kayln and Jeff were married at St Leo the Great Church in Baltimore, MD and had their reception at a private residence on the water in Middle River, MD. Both a beautiful church and an amazing location for photography during the reception. St Leo's is an older church with lots of beautiful pastel colors that photograph very well. Alone, it would be an incredible place to do all of the formal photos for a couple.

What I loved the most were the large willow trees, where I captured one of my favorite all time photos. While Kalyn and Jeff were talking to some of their guests, I saw the sun coming down on the other side of this tree. I immediately knew that it would end up as an incredible shot. I got my settings together, then brought Kayln and Jeff over and got this shot in just a couple of minutes, then got them back over to their friends.

They also incorporated a lot of interesting details such as old doors and their frames, an old cabinet decorated with photos and a tandem bicycle. This where I feel I shine with my creativity. The couple puts these decorations together for a reason. A lot of time, thought and effort go into them and I feel it's something that I need to make sure I capture throughout the day, but especially when I am incorporating the ring shots and shots with the Bride and Groom.

Lastly, finding new and unique ways to photograph the first dance. There are lots of ways that I look to photograph the first dance; close up, wide, lower angles, etc. In this case as you can see, I focused on the large letter on the sweetheart table with the couple in the background. I think it's a unique way of capturing this moment.
